Our members are involved in outreach in many ways. Each of us has a personal
mission of caring for others in the name of the Lord in our homes, work, schools,
neighborhoods, and in volunteer endeavors. We actively support the wide-ranging
ministries of the United Methodist Church, from inner city Cincinnati to all
parts of the world.
We also support a number of members who go on short-term mission work trips to areas of need. We assist in serving meals to the homeless through the Cincinnati Network for the Homeless and through Nast Trinity United Methodist Church. We have sent hundreds of blankets for disaster victims and seek constantly to respond to needs as they arise.
We also encourage community groups to use our church facilities, which they do, including 12-step groups, foster children, and counseling groups. A Missional Campaign conducted in 2000 identified our major areas of focus in our missional endeavors as:
- Racial harmony
- Full inclusion of all, regardless of sexual identity
- College students and young adults
- Elderly
